Learn to do good; Seek justice, reprove the ruthless, defend the orphan, plead for the widow.
[Isaiah 1:17, NASB]
Founder Gracie Pfaff and her Pfamily were called to serve in Haiti earlier this year. They did not want to go on one of the standard short term missions trip that they had heard about. Instead, God presented the opportunity for the entire Pfamily to work together at an orphanage in Port Au Prince, Haiti for one month. Gracie’s mother taught school to the orphans while Gracie and her sister became classmates and peer mentors to the children. Gracie’s father did repair work and new construction on the property. Once their daily tasks were complete, they spent their days and evenings loving on the children of the orphanage. This mission trip was a life changing event and confirmed that Harvest107 needed to focus on plans to expand it’s efforts internationally. Harvest107 is currently working to secure open land opportunities in Haiti. Currently, the response has been great and our organization is following up on several leads in many different areas of the country. Our hope is to launch our first international efforts before the end of 2014.
