The new seedlings are growing fast! We got some of them transplanted into the new expansion this past week.

The lettuce plants that produced so much for the orphanage are seeding, which is great news! That means that we got to teach them how to harvest the seeds. We started some of the seeds for the new beds and banked the rest … isn’t sustainability awesome?

The moringa seedlings are growing like weeds, but they hardly are! These baby trees [aka “the miracle tree”] pack a powerful nutritional punch – we LOVE this tree for fighting malnutrition and are excited to get to share all its uses with the people here in Haiti.

There was a lovely harvest of peppers, tomatoes, beets, garlic, and eggplant, and the kitchen was of course pleased to receive the new veggies.

About half of the new space is filling up with crops, and the other half will be this week; Phase 2 is almost complete. Phase 3 will be to build a sustainable irrigation system.

You can keep these crops growing, producing, and feeding orphans with a small monthly investment. Thank you so much for joining us to help feed people!
