After nearly 100 years of fighting to have a voice, the United States granted women the right to vote in 1920. This movement was beautifully peaceful. It is important to me to carry on this spirit as we fight for human rights here in Haiti. The ratification of the 19th amendment happened 81 years before I was born (and I am still not old enough to vote), but I know that without it I could not have started Harvest107.

Today is Women’s Equality Day and I celebrate everyone who made this powerful event in American history happen. Your actions inspire me to do more.
